Mad Wolf 1825-1905
Mad Wold (Hahk o ni or Miv a wo nih), his name
actually means "wolf that has no sense". He was a Northern Cheyenne and
belonged to war-society of Dog Soldiers. He also fought at Little Big
Horn wearing a war-bonnet and was among the warriors that were first to
attack Reno's column. In one occasion, when he was in Washington in 1880,
he was photographed together with Man On A Cloud (sitting on left in the
picture) by photographer John Choate.
