This is not in anyway a commercial website and I don't gain anything for building and hosting these pages. My only purpose is to give as much correct info as possible about the Plains Indians and some other famous characters of the Old West to anyone who seeks it.

Internet is full of websites that offer most interesting things and facts. One thing I too often see is pages with false information about North-American Indians or some other characters of the Old West. For example, you might see a picture of Dull Knife and text below the picture says: Lakota Chief... or you might read from somewhere that Billy The Kid killed 21 men... ...aaaarghh... So this is the reason I build this website, to help people know how things really were. In making these pages I have consulted many people who have studied these things all their life, so I wouldn't get any mistakes or false facts on my pages. But still, I'm only a man and I have been doing these pages with my eyes crossed in the middle of the night, so there is still a slight chance that you may find some mistake like wrong year connected to some name or so. I my self am not an Indian and I wouldn't want to be one. I am simply a guy from Finland who is very interested in the history and the ways of the Plains Indian tribes. So just to make this clear, I am not one of those new age hippies who always feel sorry for the Indians and keep on complaining and yelling how wrong white man has treated Indians and how terrible it is etc...

I do agree that Indians have suffered a lot and a lot of wrong has been done to them but that is not always the only and the whole truth. They have also done their share of the violence and brutality from time to time. What I try to do is be as objective and nonpartial as possible when studying Plains Indians history.

What I'm interested in is, who was who, who did what and when was it and where was it and so on. So, pardon me if you don't find any "cool Indian prayers" or "smart native wisdoms" or any other tourist junk like those lame plastic dreamcatchers or stuff like that here. This website is meant to tell free of charge about the things and events as they really were back in the day to anyone who is interested to know about them.
